Seed to shelf
Turmimax® BIO begins with cultivated turmeric rhizome and ends with a batch-linked, documented shipment. Star Hi Herbs combines raw-material sourcing, controlled manufacturing, in-house analytical testing and quality documentation under one integrated system.
Six controlled stages
- 01Turmeric source selection
Botanical identity and high-curcuminoid raw-material selection. Approved sources are evaluated for origin, crop condition, harvest period and suitability for standardised extraction.
- 02Cultivation & crop monitoring
Cultivated turmeric (not uncontrolled wild collection) monitored through the Indian harvest season (Feb–Apr) and off-season for availability of high-curcumin material.
- 03Harvest & post-harvest handling
Rhizomes are harvested at maturity, then cleaned, cured, dried and prepared for storage or extraction with controlled moisture and hygienic handling.
- 04Controlled manufacturing
Approved turmeric is processed at Star Hi Herbs' Karnataka facilities. Turmimax® BIO is standardised to upto 95% curcuminoids with complete water dispersibility.
- 05Analytical testing & batch release
Identity, curcuminoid assay, moisture, particle size, heavy metals, microbiology, pesticides, residual solvents and dispersibility - reviewed against approved specification before release.
- 06Packing, documentation & delivery
Food-grade, export-suitable packaging with certificate of analysis, specification, safety data, packing list and applicable regulatory documents per shipment.
True Backward Integration
From seed selection in South India to the finished, documented packaging drum - followed lot by lot.
Rhizome Selection
Our process begins on carefully managed, verified agricultural fields in South India, optimized for high-curcuminoid *Curcuma longa* cultivation. Farms are continuously monitored for optimal soil, irrigation, and pesticide-free parameters.
- Botanical identity validation
- Verified regional geographic origin
- Lot-by-lot heavy metals pre-screening
Why an integrated model matters
- Better visibility of raw-material origin & crop conditions
- Greater control over active-marker consistency
- Faster technical & documentation support
- Reduced risk of substitution or uncontrolled handling
- Improved production planning during seasonal shortages
- Clearer accountability from source through finished batch
Sustainability practices
- Cultivated, documented botanical sourcing
- Crop and seasonal availability monitoring
- Efficient raw-material use during extraction
- Controlled handling to reduce rejection & waste
- Food-safety and quality-management systems
- Continuous improvement under Zero Defect, Zero Effect
From turmeric-source approval to finished-product dispatch, traceability records connect raw materials, manufacturing batches, analytical results, packaging and shipment documents - giving brands, formulators and regulatory teams confidence that every Turmimax® BIO batch has passed through a controlled, documented process.
